Mace Essential Oil, derived from the aril of the Nutmeg tree (Myristica fragrans), native to Indonesia. The aril is a bright red webbing, or lacy husk, around the nutmeg fruit. From this aril, Mace Oil is extracted, a less common version of nutmeg oil with a stronger, spicier aroma than nutmeg oil. Due to the aril being much smaller than the nutmeg seed, Mace Oil is considerably more expensive than Nutmeg Seed Oil, but more aromatic.
