Our raw materials -- essential oils, carrier oils, bottles, and related products – are procured from sources both domestic and abroad spanning the globe, depending on the needs of our customers and the origin of raw material.
We source only from farmers and partners whom we know well and have visited/audited and who have a track record of providing superior test results . Our raw materials come directly from the source. We have global contacts and have developed personal relationships with wild-crafters and cultivators from unspoiled regions of the earth. We are engaged in supporting collectives as it relates to procurement of raw materials and purchasing/price guarantees.
Quality Control
Our oils are subject to a thorough quality control inspection. The exact parameters for quality control tests will vary from product to product based on the knowledge and security held on a given product. But, routinely, these tests address the following, and allow us to determine that the product meets QC standards:
- Organoleptic assessment (odor, appearance, taste) as appropriate
- Visual evaluation (color, clarity, foreign materials)
- Specific gravity (SG)
- Optical rotation (OP)
- Refractive index (RI)
- Flash point (FP)
- Gas chromatography–mass spectrometry (GCMS)
- And a full range of product-specific tests
Transport & Storage
Oils are shipped in containers that protect the oil from contamination by the container itself. The container in which the oil is shipped depends upon the reactivity of the oil tothe container enclosing it. Containers in which the oil is stored for transport include:
